“Pancake’s House” Sign

Laser Cutting | Sublimation | Illustration

I designed and assembled this small, decorative “Pancake’s House” sign. Pancake is my green-cheeked conure and business mascot! He clearly rules our house, so I made this sign in his honor.

The sign is made of clear sublimation acrylic, which accepts a custom printed design on the back. I used a laser cutter to cut the sign’s shape and holes for hanging. After that, I printed my design and applied it to the acrylic backing with a heat press. Finally, I attached stainless steel jump rings and a chain for hanging the sign.

The design is my original artwork, which I paired with a delicate cursive font. I also chose colors that complimented Pancake’s turquoise feathers. I created the background in Sketchbook, drew the vector art in Illustrator, and then brought everything together in Photoshop.
